Summer is the best time to travel to Altai! Unforgettable sunsets and sunrises, mountain slopes and turbulent rivers bathed in warm sunlight, mysterious taiga and the never-fading sound of waterfalls… We invite you on a fascinating road trip across Altai – discover a region that attracts tourists from all over Russia and makes you fall in love at first sight.
This program includes all the must-see locations during your first visit to Altai. The tour includes visits to seven of the most fascinating natural landmarks: the beautiful Chuysky Tract, the turbulent Katun River, the Seminsky and Chike-Taman mountain passes, the mighty Ilgumensky rapids, the resort village of Chemal, and Lake Teletskoye. In one trip, you'll see the multifaceted nature of the Altai Mountains, the diversity of its landscapes, flora, and fauna. You'll also meet the graceful marals—one of the region's symbols—take a boat excursion to the mighty Korbu Waterfall, and discover the mountain spirits that inhabit the mysterious Che-Chkysh ravine.
This tour is a self-drive: you'll travel in comfortable vehicles, admiring the changing landscapes, and making stops at vantage points, places of power, mountain pass summits, and archaeological sites. You'll not only see all of Altai's most beautiful sights but also gain a deeper understanding of its history, beliefs, and culture. And each evening, you'll return to the comfortable hotel rooms, where you can unwind after a busy day and sit on the terrace, gazing at the magical Altai sky, strewn with myriad stars.

Spacious rooms are housed in cedar chalets, filled with natural light and the pleasant aroma of wood. The hotel grounds feature a unique wooden sculpture park, a delight for both adults and children.
This resort complex boasts vast grounds, a wealth of entertainment, and a respectable level of comfort. Adults can enjoy luxurious restaurants and bars, karaoke, a billiards room, and a spa and sauna complex.
A luxurious complex surrounded by cedar forests and mountain slopes, right on the banks of the Katun River. Two accommodation options are available: cozy chalets made of Altai cedar or classic, spacious rooms. The hotel complex features a spa, steam rooms, a large indoor pool, and an authentic restaurant with a gourmet menu.
Panoramic views of the mountain slopes and lake surface and well-designed infrastructure: the resort boasts restaurants and bars, a children's cafe, a spa, and a children's recreation center with a climbing wall and rope course. The hotel rooms are decorated with natural materials, allowing you to feel at one with nature every moment of your stay.

We'll meet you at the Gorno-Altaisk airport. First things first, we need a delicious breakfast! So, we'll head to the Kaimskoye eco-village. This cozy, secluded spot surrounded by mountains and valleys is home to marals—majestic deer with powerful, branching antlers, one of the main symbols of Altai. You might also encounter other animals here, such as horses and yaks. You'll enjoy a home-cooked breakfast of Russian cuisine and then continue onward: ahead of us lies the legendary beauty of the Katunya River, which originates at Belukha, the highest mountain in Altai. We'll make stops at vantage points so you can enjoy the views and capture beautiful photos of the rocky shores and turbulent waters. By 3:00 PM, we'll be checking into our hotel and enjoying some free time. Relax after your flight, as several action-packed and adventurous days lie ahead!

The second day holds even more Katun River experiences for you, as the route to Chemal will run along this river. Along its course, there are numerous natural landmarks, and we'll stop at some of them for a stroll and photos. Then, the resort village of Chemal awaits you, where we'll visit the local hydroelectric power station located at the confluence of the Chemal and Katun rivers and walk across a wooden suspension bridge to Patmos Island, home to an Orthodox church. This is a stunning place where natural beauty and human-made creations are harmoniously intertwined. We'll also experience the traditional beliefs of the region by hiking up the Che-Chkysh Valley, known as the Valley of Mountain Spirits. Return to the hotel in the evening.

We'll set off along the Chuysky Tract, consistently ranked among the most beautiful roads in Russia and even the world! As you travel along the highway toward the Mongolian border, you'll enjoy the gradually changing landscape: the mountains grow ever higher, rising from low hills to mountain ranges soaring into the sky. Even in the summer heat, snow never melts on the most impressive mountain ranges, creating a truly impressive sight. Along the way, we'll climb two passes—Seminsky and Chike-Taman—and stop at observation platforms to admire the panoramic views. One of the highlights of the day will be a visit to the turbulent Ilgumen Rapids. We'll return to the hotel by 8:00 or 9:00 PM, brimming with emotion from the landscapes of the Chuysky Tract.

Lake Teletskoye is a true pearl of Altai, "Baikal's Younger Brother." Its other name is Altyn-Köl, which translates as "Golden Lake." This freshwater body stretches for over 78 kilometers, with largely untouched shores preserving the diversity of Altai flora and fauna. You'll see it from above by taking a cable car to the summit of Mount Kokkuya. Then, take a boat excursion to Korbu Waterfall. The waterfall cascades from a height of 12.5 meters, and while it's not the largest in Altai, the spectacle is mesmerizing. Korbu is surrounded by graceful cliffs and lush greenery, offering a breathtaking view and a true sense of harmony with nature. Return to the hotel between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport. See you soon!
The program is designed for children ages 6 and up. Children ages 6-12 receive special rates when sharing an extra bed.
Breakfasts are served at hotels. We'll make lunch stops at good local cafes; meals are at your own expense.
This program is designed for a group of 2 to 14 people.
There are indeed ticks in Altai in the summer. Insurance is included in the tour price, and we also recommend getting vaccinated against tick-borne encephalitis before your trip.
