A crab safari is a vibrant adventure set against the backdrop of the majestic and rugged northern landscape! You'll find yourself on the Kola Peninsula, far from civilization, in places with no communications and virtually no people. We invite you to go crab fishing on a fishing boat and then dine on your catch, prepared by an experienced chef.
A luxurious glamping experience awaits you on the shores of the Barents Sea, with views of the cold waters and picturesque cliffs from the windows, and a cozy fire crackling in the fireplace. A cedar sauna and Furako barrels are right on the shore: dive into the sea immediately after soaking in the hot water! The main activity of the tour will leave no one indifferent – we'll go crab hunting on a real fishing boat. Two types of commercial crabs are found in these areas: snow crab and king crab. The latter is our main target, as it's called king crab due to its enormous size (up to 25 cm wide and weighing up to 7-9 kilograms!). You'll cast and retrieve special traps yourself, and the boat's crew, experienced sea dogs, will guide you through each step and teach you everything. Upon returning to the glamping, you can ask the chef to prepare your fresh catch. There are countless ways to cook crab: boiling, baking, frying, and stewing. Choose your favorite cooking method, join a masterclass, or take your catch home to enjoy with family and friends!
This trip will make you fall in love with the beautiful Kola Peninsula, with its endless expanses, discreet charm, cool winds, and the steely sparkle of the Barents Sea waves. We're sure that after the crab safari, you'll want to return to Whale Beach again and again to participate in other exotic activities—like seeing giant whales or catching the Northern Lights by the tail!
The base price for the tour is based on double occupancy in a Standard glamping (27 sq. m.).
The most trendy accommodation format is stylish glamping spheres of 27 or 32 sq. m. Inside, there are comfortable double beds, a sitting area with armchairs, storage and drying areas for clothes, a toilet and shower, and an additional sleeping area on the second level. Outside, the endless Arctic expanses and the harsh Barents Sea can be admired through panoramic windows. The glamping sites are comfortable in any weather, equipped with a split-system air conditioner and a radiator. Guests can also enjoy a relaxing holiday at the glamping center, sampling delicious northern cuisine or playing board games by the fireplace. For relaxation after a day of sightseeing, there's a cedar sauna and Japanese Furako barrels filled with heated seawater, located right by the sea.

The adventure begins in Murmansk: we'll meet you at your hotel or the airport. We'll travel by bus to the transit point at the Old Titovka checkpoint. Along the way, you'll see the Valley of Glory memorial, erected in honor of the heroic defense of the Arctic during WWII. At the very beginning of the war, superior enemy forces were stopped here at the cost of great sacrifice, and as a result, throughout the entire war, the enemy army was never able to break through to Murmansk.
From the checkpoint, our journey lies along a dirt road, so we'll swap the bus for more suitable transport—powerful Toyota jeeps (Hilux or Land Cruiser 80 or 105 models). Ahead of you await the vast expanses of the Russian Arctic, the absence of civilization and communications, and the rugged charm of the northern nature. We'll pass the Titovka River, whose mouth was once home to whales, a picturesque waterfall, and the impressive, albeit low, Musta-Tunturi Pass. Upon arrival at the glamping site, you'll be accommodated in cozy eco-spheres, treated to a delicious dinner, and treated to a relaxing hot sauna.

Today, the highlight of the entire program awaits you: crab fishing in the Barents Sea! We'll set out on the hunt on the vessel "Kegor," which is ideal for almost any activity: from regular tourist cruises to fishing or diving. This modern and reliable vessel is fully equipped for operations in the Far North.
We'll hunt crabs near the Norwegian border, in the area of Dolgaya Shchel in Liinakhamari, where this fishery is officially permitted. We'll use special equipment—crab traps—to catch Kamchatka crabs (called king crabs due to their enormous size). The ship's crew—seasoned sea dogs—will help you manage the traps and identify the sex of the crabs you catch, as females and juveniles will need to be released back into the water. But don't worry—your catch will be impressive, no matter what, and upon your return to the glamping site, an experienced chef will prepare your catch for you. And if you like, you can take them home to enjoy with family and friends!
In just a couple of days on the Kola Peninsula, you've recharged with new impressions and emotions, taken a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and indulged in an information detox! Now it's time to return home. We'll take you to one of Murmansk's hotels or the city airport. See you soon!
The tour price does not include airfare to and from Murmansk, bar services at the glamping site, or the preparation of caught crabs by a chef (optional).
No. Moreover, a visit to the bath complex is included in the tour price.
You can book a transfer on a MI-2, MI-8, or MI-8T (VIP) helicopter. A one-way flight takes up to 45 minutes. We land in Murmansk, and we also return to Murmansk. This service is available for an additional fee.
The program is intended for adult tourists aged 18 years and older.
