About the tour

Climbing and descending, captivating snowy landscapes and the gentle spring sun, the opportunity to try your hand at sea kayaking, and accommodation aboard a cozy catamaran in one of Kamchatka's most picturesque bays. You'll also get a closer look at the region's fauna by visiting a sea lion rookery.

What does the program include?

This is a unique freeride tour with an unusual accommodation format. For five days, you'll live aboard a sailing catamaran in picturesque Russkaya Bay, in cozy cabins, with three meals a day provided by a chef. The gentle sound of the waves, the chance to pilot a sailboat, and panoramic views of the shore, slopes, and forests—it's a fantastic experience! Each day, you'll set out to conquer Kamchatka's peaks: first, a climb surrounded by stunning scenery, followed by a high-speed descent on a snowboard or skis.

We've included some extra activities: you'll try sea kayaking and take a short boat excursion to Cape Kekurny, where dozens of mighty sea lions rest on the rocks and hundreds of birds nest. Above the water, you can see the backs of killer whales swimming very close to the boats. And upon returning to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky the day before your flight, you can choose your favorite activity: for example, go dog sledding or try SUP.

We take photos and videos throughout the trip, so you'll have beautiful shots and a short film to remember your adventure with.

Tour itinerary

More details about the route

Day 1. First meeting

We'll meet you at the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky airport. Depending on the weather forecast, you may check into your hotel on the first day, or you'll immediately transfer to the heliport and take a helicopter flight to Russkaya Bay. A catamaran awaits you there: it's on board that you'll be staying for the next few days!

Days 2-5. Ski touring/backcountry + Cape Kekurny and kayaking (optional)

The following days will feature ascents amidst incredible Kamchatka landscapes, sweeping descents far from the beaten track, breathtaking views, and the rapidly warming Kamchatka spring sun. One day (weather permitting), we'll take a short boat excursion to Cape Kekurny, one of the best spots for observing sea lions. You'll also have the opportunity to try sea kayaking—the catamaran is perfectly adapted for embarking and disembarking from kayaks. Our guides will provide instructions and teach you everything you need to know, so absolutely everyone can participate in this activity, even those who've never tried kayaking before. The smooth waters, panoramic views of the shore, and the lapping waves make for a perfect vacation and yet another sport to add to your skill set!

After breakfast, if time permits, we'll make one or more descents. Then we'll say goodbye to the yacht, transfer to the city, and check into the guesthouse.

This day is yours to enjoy. Continue conquering the slopes with snowmobile drops, go dog sledding, relax after a busy week at the hot springs, explore Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, its architecture, and history—whatever your heart desires! This day is also essential as a backup, in case any plans are cancelled or delayed due to weather conditions during your stay in Kamchatka.

After breakfast, we'll arrange a transfer to the airport. Along the way, you can stop at souvenir shops or a fishmonger to pick up gifts and delicacies to remember your Kamchatka trip. See you soon!
