What does the program include?

Winter Kamchatka is a world apart, a realm of snow-capped peaks, ice, and a misty haze over the ocean. You'll see the Avachinsky, Koryaksky, and Vilyuchinsky volcanoes, the Avachinsky Pass, the Vachkazhets mountain range, the Pacific Ocean, and Cape Mayachny, as well as the region's capital, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, surrounded by incredible landscapes. On this trip, you'll not only admire the natural beauty but also enjoy an adrenaline rush, as we'll reach the locations by snowmobile, and on one day, we'll take a helicopter tour to see the mountain peaks from a bird's eye view! The program also includes a free day for snowboarding or skiing (please note: ski lifts and equipment rentals are not included in the tour price). Or, if you're looking to unwind after a day of active sightseeing, you can head to the thermal springs.

You'll also learn about the culture and traditions of Kamchatka's indigenous peoples, hear captivating throat singing, and witness rhythmic dances in an ethno village. Friendly sled dogs are also waiting for you: take a ride as a passenger or try your hand at being a musher!

Tour itinerary

More details about the route

Day 1. First encounter with Kamchatka

We'll meet you at the airport and arrange transfer to your guesthouse. Spend the day acclimatizing and adjusting to the time zone change: after a delicious lunch, you'll have free time to relax in your room or explore the city.

Day 2. Snowmobile excursion to the volcanoes

After breakfast, we'll ride a snowmobile with a passenger sled to the picturesque Avacha Pass, located midway between Avacha and Koryaksky volcanoes, two of the most famous and beautiful in the region. Both are active. Optionally (depending on time, preference, and weather conditions), we can climb to the Camel extrusion. This is a rocky massif with two peaks, from which it gets its name. It's a wonderful natural observation deck, offering views of both the volcanoes and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky spread out below. After descending, we'll enjoy a small, delicious picnic and then return to the city.

Day 3. Pacific Ocean

Today you'll see the Pacific Ocean coast, Vilyuchinsky Volcano, and one of the oldest lighthouses in the Far East. We'll reach these locations by snowmobile. Our route will be spectacular: along the coast and secluded small bays surrounded by sheer cliffs or gentle slopes. We'll stop at a viewing platform to capture the majestic Vilyuchinsky Volcano and the Three Brothers, the pillar-shaped cliffs in Avacha Bay, one of Kamchatka's most famous views. Then we'll head to the "grandfather of lighthouses"—the Petropavlovsky Lighthouse on a beautiful high cape. Built in the early 19th century, this lighthouse looks simply stunning against the backdrop of ocean waves and distant mountain ranges. After lunch, overlooking the ocean, we'll return to the hotel.

Day 4. Free day

On this day, you'll be free to choose your own activities—dedicate it to active pursuits like snowboarding or leisurely strolls. This day can also be used as a backup in case we have to change the tour itinerary due to weather conditions (this happens very rarely).

Day 5. By helicopter over the mountains

Today, you'll see one of Kamchatka's most beautiful mountain ranges, Vachkazhets, from above. Rocky ridges, endless snow, peaks soaring into the sky, and nature that's both rugged and graceful… Observing these incredible landscapes from a helicopter, you'll fully appreciate Kamchatka's charm, its unique character, and its uniqueness. After returning to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, you'll have free time.

Day 6. Ethnic village and sled dogs

No trip would be complete without learning about the culture and way of life of the indigenous peoples of this region. Today, we'll visit an ethno village, where you'll learn about local traditions and legends, hear soul-stirring throat singing, and witness beautiful traditional dances. Fluffy, active, and friendly sled dogs await you here. You can ride in a dog sled as a passenger or as a musher. Full of positive emotions and vivid impressions, we'll return to the guesthouse in the evening.

After breakfast, we'll head to the airport. We'll make a couple of stops along the way so you can buy gifts and souvenirs for your loved ones and yourself to remember your trip. One of the stops will be at the fish market—it's simply impossible to imagine Kamchatka without its ocean and river delicacies!
