What does the program include?

We invite you to spend an incredible week in one of the most picturesque regions of our country! Kamchatka is a land of volcanoes and geysers, endless ocean and a famous black sand beach, mysterious quiet forests and bustling sea lion rookeries. On this trip, you'll discover the peninsula's most captivating locations. We'll visit Cape Mayachny, from where we'll enjoy a breathtaking panorama of Avacha Bay, and climb the Vilyuchinsky Pass to admire three beautiful volcanoes. The otherworldly landscapes of Gorely Volcano's caldera and its unusual lava caves await you, as well as several stunning waterfalls, the tallest of which is the 20-meter Spokoiny. The program also includes trekking—we'll hike to the summit of Verblyud Hill. To see Kamchatka's most famous marine life, we'll take a boat trip to Russkaya Bay. The chances of encountering whales and orcas are very high, and we'll also make a stop at Cape Kekurny, home to a huge Steller sea lion rookery. One of the tour's highlights will be a walk along the black Khalaktyrsky Beach.

The program includes one free day, which you can spend as you wish: take a helicopter ride to the Valley of Geysers, immerse yourself in the region's culture in an ethno village, or simply relax in the thermal springs. This trip also offers culinary discoveries: a plethora of the freshest seafood, the unusual eclectic cuisine of Kamchatka, picnics at the most stunning vantage points, and delicious fish soup and crab.

More details about the route

Day 1: Regional exploration, museum, and gastronomy

The group will meet at Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Airport, after which we will head into the city. The first day is as relaxed as possible, giving you time to recover from the flight and adjust to the time zone change. After checking into a cozy hotel, you will take a guided tour of the city and visit the Vulcanarium Museum, where you will learn about the main natural wonders of Kamchatka. You will also experience the exotic local cuisine, which emphasizes seafood, and enjoy a welcome drink. If you wish, you can visit the thermal springs or relax at the spa (for an additional fee).

Day 2. Observation deck and Cape Mayachny

We're gradually immersing ourselves in the fantastic atmosphere of beautiful Kamchatka! Today, you'll head to Cape Mayachny, an incredibly photogenic location offering a magnificent view of Avacha Bay. This view is enhanced by the beautiful 1897 lighthouse, which makes for a picture-perfect backdrop! Sheer cliffs plunge down to a narrow strip of sandy beach, and the ocean roars beneath your feet. From the natural observation deck, you'll see not only the picturesque bay but also the famous Three Brothers cliffs. On the way back to the city, we'll stop for lunch with a breathtaking panorama.

Day 3. Vilyuchinsky Pass, lava flows and a waterfall

On the third day, you'll see Kamchatka's legendary volcanoes. Our route to our destination will take us through the Vilyuchinsky Pass, from whose summit you can see the Vilyuchinsky, Mutnovsky, and Gorely volcanoes. After a brief stop for contemplation and photography, we'll continue on to the Gorely caldera (a pit created by a powerful eruption). You'll see otherworldly landscapes with solidified lava flows and unusual lava caves, which we'll definitely explore. After experiencing these fiery creations, we'll visit one of the region's most beautiful waterfalls, called "Spokoiny." It's about 20 meters high, and the green-crowned cliffs from which it falls create a fairytale atmosphere. After lunch, we'll return to the city.

You can spend this day however you like. We offer a wide range of excursions and activities: from a helicopter ride to the famous Valley of Geysers to a spa visit or immersing yourself in the local culture at an ethno village. All activities on this day are available for an additional fee.

Day 5: Boat Trip, Whale Watching, and Fishing

Kamchatka isn't just about hills, volcanoes, and waterfalls; it's also about the beautiful Pacific Ocean. We'll dedicate the fifth day of our trip to this ocean, heading out on a motor yacht excursion. Along this route, we'll encounter numerous Kamchatka wildlife. Our route to Russkaya Bay will take us past Starichkov Island, where thousands of birds nest, and then to Cape Kekurny, where powerful yet playful Steller sea lions lounge on the rocks. During this excursion, we're also likely to spot whales and orcas, the inhabitants of the deep. Before returning to the peninsula, we'll go fishing, and for lunch, you'll enjoy freshly prepared fish soup, along with delicious crabs.

Day 6. Jeep tour, trekking and Khalaktyrsky beach

Today we'll leave the city by jeep and head to Avacha Pass. From here, we'll take a short, easy trek to the summit of Mount Camel, named for its double peak. We'll have lunch at the foot of the Koryaksky and Avachinsky volcanoes. You might even see some of the local inhabitants—cute ground squirrels, who enjoy being hand-fed by tourists. In the afternoon, we'll visit another iconic landmark of Kamchatka—Khalaktyrsky Beach. It's famous for its black sand, the color of which is due to its volcanic origins. A walk along the surf through this fantastic landscape will be a fitting end to this busy tour.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport. We'll stop at the fish market and souvenir shops for gifts and treats. See you soon!
