About the tour

This tour is for those new to freeriding and looking to improve their skills. Untouched snow far from the pistes, speed, and adrenaline—all surrounded by Kamchatka's unique landscapes: volcanoes, hills, the ocean, and birch forests. Transfers on the tour are provided by snowmobile and helicopter, adding even more excitement and impressions.

What does the program include?

We invite you to a freeride tour in one of Russia's most picturesque regions. Winter Kamchatka offers endless snowfields leading to the majestic ocean, passes and hills, volcanoes, and thermal springs. You'll have an unforgettable freeride experience, hone your skills, and enjoy a full week of active recreation. The program includes snowmobile transfers and ski touring. One day, you'll be transferred by helicopter—an excellent chance to see Kamchatka from above. After skiing, we'll stop at the thermal springs, another of the local natural attractions. Relax in the warm, healing water, surrounded by clouds of steam curling in the frosty air... it seems like the perfect end to the day!

Throughout the tour, you'll be accompanied by experienced guides who will ensure your safety. You'll receive an avalanche safety briefing, receive avalanche gear, and learn how to use it. We also closely monitor weather and snow conditions, changing locations as needed. The program includes a reserve day to allow for flexibility in response to weather conditions and change plans if necessary. On this day, you can choose your own activities: dog sledding, visiting the most famous and picturesque locations, surfing, hiking, or anything else you like.

Tour itinerary

More details about the route

Day 1. First meeting

We'll meet at the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky airport. After transfer to your accommodation and check-in, we'll hold a short briefing: you'll meet the guides who will be accompanying you on the tour and receive a safety briefing. We'll distribute gear, including avalanche protection, and explain how to use it. The evening will be free to rest and acclimatize.

Day 2. Rolling out

On the first full day of the program, we'll warm up at the ski resort (Krasnaya Sopka or Moroznaya). We'll ski both on groomed slopes and off-piste. We'll practice our theoretical knowledge of avalanche safety equipment. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner of Kamchatka delicacies prepared by our experienced chef.

Day 3. Freeride with an ocean view

Today, freeride descents finally await you! You'll be transported by snowmobile. You'll make up to three descents through picturesque terrain, down snow-white slopes—right down to the majestic ocean. Incredible emotions and a unique experience!

Day 4. Backcountry and hot springs

On the fourth day, you'll make up to three descents, with an elevation gain of up to 700 meters. We'll also organize meals along the route, with a beautiful view. To unwind after an active day, we'll visit the thermal springs in the evening. Steaming hot water and views of endless mountain ranges, hills, and volcanoes…

Day 5. Helicopter transfer

Today, you'll be transported to your ski destination by helicopter. Breathtaking bird's-eye views of Kamchatka's peaks are another highlight of this trip. Disembarkation, descent, and several ski-tour climbs will follow. We'll return to the hotel by car.

Day 6. Freeride on the Vilyuchinsky Pass

Snowmobile transfers. The skiing area is the Vilyuchinsky Pass (as on other days, guides select the skiing location shortly before the transfer, taking into account weather and snow conditions). Short descents of 1-2 km, elevation gain of 300-500 m, up to eight descents per day. On the way back, we'll stop by the thermal springs again.

This is a free day during which you can choose your own activities: continue skiing on the resort's pistes or off-piste, go dog sledding, surf in the ocean, surf on a beach with black volcanic sand, or enjoy any other activity. This day also serves as a backup in case we are forced to change plans on another day of the program due to weather.

After breakfast, we'll take you to the airport. Along the way, we'll stop at souvenir shops and a fish market so you can pick up gifts and treats for yourself and your loved ones. See you soon!

Important to know

You don't need extensive off-piste experience. You should feel confident on piste and have some positive freeriding experience—at a minimum, not wasting time after a fall, but simply getting up and riding again.

You can bring your own gear. For those arriving without, we'll provide high-quality, modern equipment for rent (for an additional fee) for your entire stay in Kamchatka.

Average daytime temperatures in winter are -8 to -10°C, and in the first weeks of spring, -3 to -5°C. As in any other mountain region, the weather in Kamchatka is unpredictable, with sudden cold snaps and gusty winds possible.

The program price does not include airfare, equipment rental, entrance to the thermal springs, or ski passes for the resort. You are also responsible for your own medical insurance.

Yes. You'll enjoy delicious breakfasts and dinners at the hotel, lunches along the route, and a welcome lunch on the first day.
