Gamsutl is a ghost street, one of the most recognizable locations in Dagestan.
Back in the 70s of the last century, the village was inhabited, but residents began to leave it, leaving for larger and more accessible cities and villages. The last resident of the village of Gamsutl died in 2015. There is no road to the village itself; you will have to walk uphill for about an hour, but after a difficult journey you will be rewarded with beautiful views and the incredible atmosphere of this place. Gamsutl seems to grow out of a rock, surrounded by fantastically beautiful mountain ranges - it is called the Dagestan Machu Picchu .
