Chechnya is a region of contrasts.
Most tours begin in Grozny, and the region's capital is striking in its modernity: illuminated skyscrapers, wide avenues, bustling shopping centers. But once you travel outside the cities, you see a completely different face of Chechnya. Among the most beautiful mountains and gorges, quiet villages are lost, where time seems to have stopped, medieval castles rise, legends and myths are passed on from mouth to mouth. Chechnya will interest everyone who is interested in the culture and history of the peoples inhabiting the south of our country, who loves an eclectic combination of eras in architecture, and is interested in the history of Islam. And, of course, everyone who is in love with the mountains! After all, here you can fully enjoy the picturesque ridges, visit one of the most beautiful high-mountain lakes in our country - Kezenoyam, and admire how the ancient signal towers seem to have become part of the harsh and majestic landscape.
Grozny
The capital of the region, in which eras are intertwined! Climb to the top of a skyscraper to see it from above. Visit the monumental, famous “Heart of Chechnya” mosque. Take a walk along the Walk of Fame and experience the recent history of the region. And, of course, visit the “kebab street” for a delicious Caucasian dinner!
Lake Kezenoyam
High mountain lake with fabulous landscapes. The piercing blue water, the soft lines of the hills descending to it, the abundance of greenery - all this creates a special atmosphere of peace. The path to the lake, by the way, also deserves mention: during a trip along the dizzying serpentine road you can enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area.
Argun
Argun is a very small, green and cozy city, which is pleasant to take a leisurely stroll through. But its main attraction is the Aimani Kadyrova Mosque, a unique high-tech mosque. It amazes with its decoration, and at night you can watch its fantastic illumination for a very long time.
Mosque “Pride of Muslims”
The largest mosque in Europe is located in the Chechen city of Shali. This majestic building amazes with its luxury and grace; every visitor involuntarily escapes a sigh of admiration. Snow-white marble, stained glass windows playing with all colors, chandeliers with gold and precious crystals.
Argun Gorge
One of the largest gorges in the Caucasus, almost 150 m long. This place attracts not only with its natural beauty, but also with an abundance of architectural, cultural and historical monuments. Ancient watchtowers, crypt dwellings of the 20th-15th centuries, the “winged” fortress of Guchan-Kale.
