Ascents and descents, mesmerizing snowy landscapes and gentle spring sun, the opportunity to try your hand at sea kayaking and accommodation on board a cozy catamaran in one of the most picturesque bays of Kamchatka. You can also get up close and personal with the region's fauna by visiting a sea lion rookery.
This is a unique freeride tour with an unusual accommodation format. For 5 days you will live on board a sailing catamaran in the picturesque Russkaya Bay, in cozy cabins, with three meals a day from the chef. The soft rustling of the waves, the opportunity to participate in the control of a sailing ship, panoramic views of the coast, slopes and forests - this is a fantastic experience! Every day you will set off to conquer the Kamchatka peaks: first, an ascent surrounded by amazing scenery, and then a high-speed descent on a snowboard or skis.
We have provided additional entertainment: you will try sea kayaking and take a short water excursion to Cape Kekurny, where dozens of powerful sea lions (steller sea lions) rest on the rocks and hundreds of birds nest. Above the water you can see the backs of killer whales swimming very close to the ships. And when you return to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on the eve of departure, you can choose activities to your liking: for example, go dog sledding or try SUP riding.
During the trip, we take photos and videos, so in the end you will get beautiful shots and a short film to remember the adventure.
Luxury catamaran suitable for groups of up to 10 people. 2 and 3-berth cabins for relaxation, a galley for cooking and cozy gatherings, two toilets with showers plus a shower in the stern. The shallow draft allows you to get quite close to the shore to get an even better look at all the surrounding beauty. Those interested can take part in sailing and sea kayaking.
A cozy and beautiful guest house just 10 minutes from the center of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, as well as in close proximity to Mishennaya Sopka. Homely atmosphere, eco-friendly interiors and incredibly helpful staff. The guest complex has a wonderful sauna, bar and restaurant serving continental breakfasts and seafood dishes. The windows offer panoramic views of Avacha Bay.
A modern and stylish guest house, the rooms of which offer a peaceful view of Avacha Bay. The abundance of natural materials and natural colors in the interior only enhances the feeling of closeness to nature. The small number of rooms contributes to an atmosphere of calm and warm attention from the staff. Guests especially note the delicious dishes from the chef.
We will meet you at the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky airport. Depending on the weather forecast, on the first day you can check into a hotel or immediately transfer to the heliport and fly by helicopter to Russkaya Bay. A catamaran awaits you here: it is on board that you will live in the coming days!
In the following days, we will experience ascents surrounded by incredible Kamchatka landscapes, rapid descents away from well-worn trails, dizzying views and the rapidly warming spring Kamchatka sun. One day (taking into account weather conditions) we will go on a short sea excursion to Cape Kekurny - here is one of the most convenient places for observing sea lions (steller sea lions). In addition, you can go sea kayaking - the catamaran is perfectly adapted for boarding/disembarking from kayaks. The accompanying guides will give instructions and teach you everything, so absolutely everyone can take part in this entertainment, even those who have never tried kayaking before. The surface of the water, panoramic views of the shore and the splash of waves: an ideal vacation and another sport to add to your skill set!
After breakfast, if time permits, we will make one or more descents. Then we say goodbye to the yacht, transfer to the city, check-in at the guest house.
You will devote this day to any entertainment of your choice. Continue conquering the slopes with snowmobile rides, go dog sledding, relax after an active week at the thermal springs, explore Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, its architecture and history - whatever you want! This day is also necessary as a spare one, in case during your stay in Kamchatka some plans are canceled or shifted due to weather conditions.
After breakfast we will arrange transfer for you to the airport. Along the way, you can stop at souvenir shops or a fish shop to buy gifts and delicacies to remember Kamchatka. See you again!
Good physical fitness: Since this is a ski tour, you will be doing some independent climbing. Skiing level - beginner and higher, you must have at least minimal off-piste skiing experience.
If you decide not to bring your own equipment, we can select and provide you with suitable equipment for the duration of the tour. Equipment rental is not included in the price.
In April, temperatures are already positive during the day (+1, +2), at night - zero and below zero. In May, the average daytime temperature is +6.
The price does not include air travel and any additional entertainment on free days. You must also obtain your own insurance (this is a prerequisite for participation in the program).
The guest house offers breakfast and dinner. On the yacht - three meals a day.
