An introduction to Russia's southern regions—Chechnya and Dagestan. The mouth-watering aromas of national cuisine and traditional attire, Europe's deepest canyon and mountain ranges, a ghost village and a high-tech mosque, an ancient city and groves of ancient birch trees... Vivid contrasts, captivating guide stories, and a wealth of impressions await you.
This tour is perfect for those who want to see the main sights of Chechnya and Dagestan in a short trip. You'll enjoy the oriental flair and incredibly beautiful nature of these regions, learn about their history and religion, legends, and traditions.
We'll spend the first two days getting to know Chechnya: we'll stroll through the contrasting city of Grozny, home to ancient mosques and glittering skyscrapers, and see it from both beautiful avenues and from a helipad. During your stay in Chechnya, you'll visit the region's most unusual and remarkable mosques: the "Heart of Chechnya" in Grozny, built in traditional Ottoman style; the high-tech mosque in Argun; and the sparkling glass and gold "Pride of Muslims" in Shali. We'll also visit the mountain lake Kezenoy-Am, where we'll take dozens of beautiful photos in a tranquil atmosphere against the backdrop of its emerald waters and mountain slopes.
The second half of the tour will take place in Dagestan. You'll take a boat ride on the Chirkey Reservoir and see the region's main natural attraction—the deep, breathtakingly beautiful and majestic Sulak Canyon. You'll stroll through the "Dagestan Machu Picchu"—a ghost village nestled on a mountainside, captivating with its mysterious aura and fantastic views. You'll also visit the village of Gunib, renowned for its unique climate, rich flora, and history. And, of course, we'll spend a day in Derbent, the oldest city in our country, where the streets of the Old Town and the walls of the centuries-old citadel bring an oriental fairytale to life.
This trip has it all: modern and ancient architecture, historical monuments and mountain landscapes, and an introduction to national cuisine, history, and culture. Spend your Caucasian vacation with us!

Immediately after meeting at the airport, we'll head to lunch, sample Chechen cuisine, and immerse ourselves in the renowned Caucasian hospitality. We'll then explore Grozny, where a truly Eastern flair blends with the pulse of a modern metropolis. We'll see the famous "Heart of Chechnya" mosque and the 19th-century Orthodox Church of the Archangel Michael, and admire Grozny from above, ascending to the roof of a skyscraper. We'll then travel to the city of Argun to see the city's most unusual high-tech mosque: in the evening, it's illuminated by thousands of lights, a breathtaking display. You'll spend the night at a hotel in Grozny.

On the second day, we'll head to Lake Kezenoy-Am. Situated in a subalpine meadow zone and surrounded by green slopes, it's one of Chechnya's most stunning natural attractions. As you stroll along the azure waters, you'll learn legends associated with the lake. Afterward, we'll travel to the town of Shali, home to the "Pride of Muslims" mosque—the largest mosque in Europe. This truly majestic structure amazes with its luxury and elegance. Pure white marble, exquisite stained glass windows, chandeliers adorned with gold and Swarovski crystals—and a vast park area with fountains and rose bushes surround it. In Shali, we'll also have lunch, featuring traditional cuisine. In the evening, we'll arrive in Dagestan and check into a hotel.

Your exploration of Dagestan begins with its most iconic locations: the Chirkey Reservoir and the Sulak Canyon. You'll take a boat ride on the Chirkey Reservoir and learn how a flooded village came to be beneath the water. The famous Sulak Canyon—the deepest in Europe—will unfold in all its glory from the best observation deck. The turquoise ribbon of the river running along the canyon floor, the endless expanse, and the mountains, striped cliffs dropping hundreds of meters below… This spectacle will impress even the most seasoned travelers, who have visited dozens of countries and the most beautiful places on the planet. After a delicious lunch, we'll return to the hotel.

On the fourth day, we'll visit two villages—completely different, yet equally picturesque, each telling the fascinating story of Dagestan. First, we'll head to the high-mountain ghost village of Gamsutl. This is one of the oldest settlements in Dagestan, now abandoned by all residents. The abandoned buildings seem to be an extension of the landscape, growing out of the cliff face, and around them are mountain ranges with roads running along them and an endless sky. Then we'll head to the village of Gunib, which is located in an equally beautiful location. Here, the sun shines 300 days a year, and thanks to its unique microclimate, the entire village resembles a vast botanical garden. At the Gunib Museum of Local History, you'll learn about its rich history, the traditions and culture of the local people, and the Caucasian War.

You can be transported to the streets of a medieval eastern city in Derbent, which we'll explore on the last day of the program. You'll see the monumental Naryn-Kala citadel, whose construction began in the 6th century, stroll through the Old Town, and visit the Juma Mosque—an architectural monument and the oldest mosque in our country. Derbent, considered the oldest city in Russia, possesses incredible charm and holds many secrets that you'll discover during the tour.
Our journey began with a lavish feast, and we'll end it the same way. Lunch awaits you in an ethnic house and a variety of delicious dishes from southern Dagestan, such as the famous dolma and aromatic chudu flatbreads with a variety of fillings. Afterward, transfer to the airport. See you again!
