Seas, lakes and waterfalls, mud volcanoes and steep cliffs of bizarre shapes. All this is Sakhalin, an amazing island where you seem to find yourself in another world. In the classic tour we will visit the most beautiful natural attractions, walk a lot and enjoy the harmony of these places.
You will see the highest waterfall of Sakhalin, a picturesque cape with an ancient lighthouse, and the Torii Gate rising on the hill, reminiscent of the island’s Japanese past.
However, absolutely everything here is imbued with oriental exoticism: on Sakhalin you can find bamboo undergrowth near coniferous forests, and the Museum of Local Lore in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk is located in an old Japanese building, which, even when viewed from the outside, causes delight, and when visited, tells the complex history of the region in a fascinating and interesting way. love. We will devote the first day of the tour to getting to know the city and its interesting eclectic architecture, and after that we will go to the wonders of nature. You will visit the mysterious bridge, which is called Devil's, and will collect sunny pieces of amber on the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk.
You will touch the special energy of the island by visiting a rock that is about 70 million years old - while the neighboring peaks turned to dust, it survived, and today is surrounded by mystical rumors and beautiful legends. We will also go to the most beautiful beach in Sakhalin (and, perhaps, in all of Russia) - Tikhaya Bay, which fully lives up to its name. In contrast, a walk between the famous capes Velikan and Bird will be filled with bird hubbub, as numerous flocks nest in the numerous grottoes and caves of this coast. Sakhalin is a place of tranquility, breathtaking views, myths and history. And, of course, this is the freshest seafood! We will definitely stop by the fishing village to stroll through the crab market and perhaps be tempted by local delicacies.

We meet at the airport. Transfer to the hotel and check-in. After this you will have some time for rest and lunch. At 15:00 we go on a sightseeing tour of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk - this green city surrounded by hills deserves special attention. Low-rise due to seismic activity, cozy and eclectic (do not forget that for more than 40 years it was called Toyohara and belonged to Japan), from the very beginning of the trip it will immerse you in the unique atmosphere of Sakhalin: closeness with nature, tranquility and harmony. During the tour you will see the world's largest outdoor mosaic, go up to the observation deck and visit the Local History Museum. This museum is located in a beautiful Japanese-built building, and the local exhibition tells a fascinating story about the history of the region.
We begin our acquaintance with the natural beauties of Sakhalin with a visit to Cape Slepikovsky. On the way, we will pass through the incredibly bright Kholm Pass, immersed in greenery or rich autumn colors, depending on the season. Cape Slepikovsky itself is remarkable for two reasons: firstly, a beautiful lighthouse was erected on it, which will be an ideal backdrop for atmospheric photographs. Secondly, the beach on the cape is completely sandy, which is rare for Sakhalin. After visiting the cape, we will have lunch in a cafe, walk along the Kholmsk embankment and take the train to the Devil's Bridge. The high bridge (no trains cross it now) is located in a picturesque location, surrounded by untouched, wild forests. There are many legends around it - for example, they say that in the silence you can sometimes hear the whistle of a Japanese steam locomotive from the past. In the evening - return to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
Today our goal is Tikhaya Bay, which is often included in ratings of the most beautiful beaches in Russia. Protected from winds and bad weather, this bay is completely imbued with a delightful atmosphere of peace and quiet - it’s not for nothing that it got its name. On the way to the beach, we will stop at several more interesting locations: we will collect amber on the coast near the village of Starodubskoye, we will see the Torii Gate - the symbolic entrance to the Shinto shrine, rising on the hill, we will visit the Klokovsky waterfall, which is considered the highest on the island. We will also make a stop in a fishing village, where we will visit the crab market. After a walk in Tikhaya Bay, we will have lunch in a cafe with a delightful panoramic view of it. Return to the city.
The views that you will enjoy today have become one of the calling cards of Sakhalin. Cape Giant is a natural monument, the amazing shapes of which have been shaped by water and wind for centuries, creating a unique landscape. Fragments of rocks form fabulous arches, under which the azure waters of the Sea of Okhotsk splash. Here we will walk along the coast to Cape Bird, admiring the numerous grottoes and rocks on which hundreds of birds nest along the way. The hubbub of birds, the sound of waves, the rustle of the wind, the amazing lines of masterpieces created by nature - all this creates a magical atmosphere. By 18:00 we will return to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, where you will have free time.
On the fifth day we will go to a place amazing in its energy - to an outlier (rock), which was called “Frog” for its unusual shape. Scientists have determined that this rock is 70 million years old. There were once mountain ranges in this place, but they have collapsed over the centuries, and only one rock remains. It rises above forests of many rare trees and plants - for example, Kuril bamboo. From the cliff there is a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding forests. There are many beautiful myths and legends about the Frog itself: for example, that the spirits of the ancient indigenous people of Sakhalin, the Ainu, are still present here. After the walk we will have lunch in a cafe and return to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport. See you again!
