Putorana is the most inaccessible location in our country. On this amazing plateau, which can only be reached by water or air, there is no communication and almost no people, but there is the amazing untouched nature of the Russian Arctic. Majestic waterfalls, mesas, protected lakes, mysterious canyons - we invite you to see the wonders of the plateau with your own eyes, without giving up a comfortable level of accommodation.
On this tour you will be able to fulfill your dream of going where very few travelers get to. Natural landscape and virgin nature, hiding real pearls in the wilderness: rushing waterfalls, mountains without peaks, a huge variety of flora and fauna, among which many species are endemic - that is, they are not found anywhere else except the Putorana Plateau! You will climb Mount Festivalnaya, walk along the Kamenny Isthmus, see Lake Lama from above, visit the canyon where a 22-meter waterfall crashes with a roar, and unravel the mysteries of an unusual wooden palace hidden in the wilderness.
The program consists almost entirely of trekking exercises, but don't worry if you doubt your physical fitness. At the very beginning of the tour, we will divide travelers into two groups. The “Sport” group will have more difficult climbs through the wild landscape, one of the treks with an altitude gain of 1100 meters! The Relax group will explore the plateau along simpler routes and at a comfortable pace, making more stops for atmospheric photo sessions and quiet contemplation of natural beauty. And at the end of the day, we will all return to an island of civilization on the shore of the lake - the luxurious park-hotel "Neralakh", where you will find restaurant meals from the chef, the crackling of logs in a hot fireplace, the most comfortable soft beds and tranquil views from the panoramic windows. We are sure that this trip will become one of your most unusual and vivid memories!
Premium accommodation surrounded by wild nature, a hundred kilometers from civilization. Maximum comfort: toilet and shower in each cottage, beds with orthopedic mattresses, all cosmetic and bath accessories. And, of course, luxurious panoramic windows that give an amazing feeling of unity with nature. The hotel restaurant offers three meals a day, local specialties and European/Northern cuisine from the chef.
The hotel is located in a beautiful historical building, a magnificent example of Stalinist architecture. The building has undergone a complete renovation, all rooms are equipped with modern technology, and free wifi is available on site. Tourists especially note the Polar Star restaurant, which serves delicious and varied breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The friendly and helpful staff will do everything to ensure that your stay in the city leaves only pleasant impressions.
The group meets in the morning at the Norilsk airport, then you will have a short sightseeing tour of Norilsk. You will learn how a city in the Arctic Circle, built on permafrost, lives. Afterwards we will go to the port and board the ship; the transfer to the plateau will take about three and a half hours. Upon arrival, check-in at the Neralakh Park Hotel and some free time to relax. On the first day on the plateau, we will make a test trekking exit to the observation deck to take a look at the famous Lake Lama and unusual table mountains. Based on the results of this trekking, all travelers will be divided into two groups: “sport” for those who are not afraid of difficulties and have sufficient physical fitness for long climbs, and “relaxation” - for those who prefer to explore the plateau at a calm, relaxed pace.
We invite you to trek to the best observation deck on the Putorana plateau! After a delicious breakfast at the park hotel, we will take boats to the isthmus of the Kamenny Peninsula. The “relaxation” group will take a walk to an observation point past two picturesque waterfalls, and the “sport” group will climb to the very top, to the gendarme of Mount Festivalnaya. Both groups will be able to enjoy beautiful views of lakes Lama and Kapchuk, and will also have lunch from lunch boxes in the fresh air, enjoying the panorama. The “relaxation” group will have free time to walk along the isthmus, which is interesting for its incredible variety of mosses. Some of the types of moss are found only here on the plateau! Upon returning to the hotel, free time and a delicious dinner.
The most eventful and active day of the tour: today you will be able to see the incredible Arctic nature of Putorana in all its glory! You will feel like real discoverers and conquerors of wild lands, making a long trek with a climb. There are no beaten paths in this pristine landscape, but there are amazing landscapes that very few people get the chance to see. The Relax group will walk along beautiful waterfalls and descend into the canyon, where a stormy 22-meter waterfall falls. The Sport group will make a full-fledged ascent with an elevation gain of 1100 meters, for which they will be rewarded with an incredible panorama of Lake Lama and the flat tops of the table mountains stretching to the horizon. There will also be a picnic and photo session.
Today we will say goodbye to the plateau, but before that you will visit another interesting location - the House on Lake Lama. This amazing wooden building in the shape of an airplane was erected in the middle of nowhere by a famous architect. You will find out why it was built in these wild places, how generals from Latvia ended up in the Russian Arctic and why the river flowing nearby was named Vitaminka, and you will also take unusual shots against the backdrop of this atmospheric architectural masterpiece in the wild taiga. After lunch at the park hotel, we set off by ship to Norilsk. After checking into the hotel, you have free time, which you can devote to a walk around the city and have dinner at one of the restaurants in Norilsk (not included in the tour price).
Today we will go to Dudinka - the capital of Taimyr, the most important city for the local indigenous peoples. The history of Dudinka is closely connected with the history of the discoverers and expeditions of the conquerors of the Arctic and Siberia. Today it is a small but incredibly interesting city, where you can see the mammoth Zhenya, walk down a street without a single house, learn about shamanism and visit an atmospheric sea port. And after lunch we will visit local reindeer herders to better learn about their life, traditions and interesting incidents from life.
After an early breakfast, transfer to the airport. See you again!
We only admit children over 12 years old to the program.
