Everyone loves Baikal ice - and that's great. But when the routes get crowded, you want a different level of experience: without the fuss, but with exclusive locations and the feeling that the lake is just for you.
We at GO&DO have been creating individual tours in Russia and the world for 13 years now — unique, thought out to the smallest detail and impeccably directed. the popular winter Baikal in a unique format. We show all the “classics” of the legendary lake — and add what makes the trip exceptional: privacy, verified logistics, rare locations and details that people remember for years.
Must-see: what we will definitely see
Transparent ice with a “starry scattering” of bubbles, azure hummocks, ice grottoes - everything that people go to Baikal for in winter will, of course, be on any of our individual winter tours.
We pass the western coast on a private hovercraft, devoting a whole day to the bays of Aya and Peschanaya: these are some of the most photogenic places of the season with high "floating" rocks, stilted trees and the purest mirror of ice. Along the way, there are stops at photogenic grottoes and "windows" in the hummocks, where the ice geometry changes with every gust of wind and temperature change.
We will also definitely visit the ethno-park to complement the delight of Baikal nature with immersion in the culture, and we will taste traditional buuzy - where would we be without them!
Well, okay, an experienced traveler will say, such locations are offered literally in every tour of the “Baikal Ice” format. What is exclusive? It is in the many details and touches, unique experience and activities.
What makes us different
We are ready to implement any of your ideas - and offer our own. Here's what can make winter Baikal non-standard:
1. Transport.
We will travel on the ice on the hovercraft "MARS-2000 VIP". Yes, hovercraft are a common thing on Baikal in winter. But ours is about comfort and freedom of the route: a warm cabin, power and maneuverability to get away from crowds of tourists and "catch" perfectly transparent sections of ice.
2. Dinner on ice in a secret location.
An exquisitely set table, warm blankets, local delicacies and the lights of twilight, in which Baikal sounds especially pure. Upon request - a romantic setup in an ice grotto with live music: intimate, beautiful and just for you.
3. Overnight stay at the Arctic station.
Most people arrive at the Bora-Bora station during the day, but we organize overnight stays right on the ice — in warm modules with full service. Waking up on an endless white field, when the first light dissipates across the icy honeycombs, is an experience that is impossible to forget.
4. Retro-race cars on ice.
SVP, Khivus, skates - all this is familiar to most conquerors of winter Baikal. But what about driving on ice in retro-race cars? Both fireworks of emotions and excellent shots are guaranteed.
5. Meeting with a white shaman.
No show for tourists, just you and a working white shaman in places where centuries-old mystical tradition is tangible and real.
Free day - your pace
Towards the end of the trip, there is a day without a plan: you can stay in the hotel, watch the ice shimmer from a warm lounge and warm up in the SPA, or you can add some activity. We will organize everything: dog sledding, snow motorcycle rides, helicopter reconnaissance of the most beautiful ice fields (at will and weather). Such "air" in the program is not a luxury, but a guarantee that the trip will be completely yours, and not "like everyone else's". We advise and take on the organization - you just have to choose.
Let's sum it up: why with us?
We don't sell a set of activities — we put together a scenario of impressions. We adjust the time and trajectories to the weather and good light for photos, leave popular spots when groups arrive there, take care of the little things: from the right spikes on shoes and spare mittens to hot tea from a thermos on ice. And most importantly, we maintain a balance between the "must-see" and what usually remains behind the scenes: this is how stories are born that you want to share.
If this format appeals to you, contact us. We will carefully adapt an individual tour to winter Baikal to your rhythm. We will add romance, drive or contemplation - and create a unique recipe for rebooting in the heart of Siberia.
