A museum called "one of the finest museums in the world" by The Guardian is hidden in the Kyzylkum Desert of Uzbekistan. It is
the Savitsky State Museum in Nukus .
It houses over 9,000 exhibits spanning the period from the 3rd century BC to the present day, including unique pieces of applied art from the Karakalpak people, the legacy of ancient Khorezm, and a vast collection of avant-garde works.
