Tatev Monastery
Tatev Monastery, or Tatev, is perhaps the main and most famous landmark of Armenia. The complex was built on a cliff and surrounded by powerful fortress walls. There are many beautiful, mysterious and sad legends associated with this place - for example, the story of an architect who threw himself from a cliff after completing the construction of the monastery. The guide will tell you about all the myths and secrets of the Tatev Monastery.
Speaking about Tatev, it is impossible not to mention the famous cable car leading to it. Its length is almost 6 km, it is included in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest cable car in the world. Hover Boutique Hotel
New, modern boutique hotel in Dilijan. Convenient location and amazing views (as, indeed, everywhere in this amazing city). Hover Boutique Hotel is a hotel where you want to look at every detail. There are no two similar rooms here - each is decorated by a designer in its own unique style and color scheme. The rooms are united only by the use of environmentally friendly materials and the presence of balconies on which you can relax, enjoying the special air of the Dilijan Nature Reserve, the panorama of coniferous forests and mountains.
The restaurant serves traditional Armenian and European cuisine. In fine weather, breakfasts are served on the outdoor terrace, where you can also try charcoal pizza. The Hover Boutique Hotel has a concert stage, a play area for little guests and a comfortable area around the fire, where it is so pleasant to spend long evenings in the company of loved ones.
Wine of Armenia
Armenia is famous not only for cognac, but also for its excellent wines, which are appreciated all over the world. The local climate and soil characteristics are ideal for growing grapes, and although vineyards have been destroyed more than once over the country's long history, the tradition of winemaking has been revived time after time, like a phoenix from the ashes. Some ancient technologies are still used here, for example, clay jugs called karas.
One of the centers of winemaking is the village of Areni, where wine festivals are held. The red grape variety of the same name is grown here, from which the local pinot noir is produced. This is a unique variety that has no analogues in the world and is not related to other varieties growing in neighboring regions - for example, the Black Sea ones. A visit to Areni, in addition to tasting wines and delicacies, will definitely be remembered for the tranquil views of vines against the backdrop of quiet plains and picturesque mountains.
Meals: tasting of Armenian wines, cheeses and delicacies.

Monasteries of Areni
We will visit the Noravank monastery complex, the construction of which began seven centuries ago. The monastery is surrounded by unusual red rocks: they complement the grandeur of this place. Strictly decorated, a unique two-story church, elegant bas-reliefs, the echo of footsteps under the arches of the church and ancient legends - this is what awaits you in Noravank. It is important to note that there is no active tourist infrastructure around the monastery, which would only spoil the atmosphere of spirituality. Once here, you are face to face with the centuries-old spiritual history of Armenia.
Afterwards we will go to another monastery with a rich history - Khor Virap, which means “deep prison”. In the dungeons of this majestic structure, Saint Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned for 14 years, who ultimately was able to convert King Trdat to the Christian faith. From the territory of the monastery there is a breathtaking view of Ararat, the main mountain for all Christians.

Garni
Garni is a museum-reserve that can be compared with many historical complexes in Greece and Italy. The central building of the complex is the Temple of the Sun, built at a time when Armenia was pagan. Here you will see exquisite bas-reliefs, skillfully executed ornaments on stone, columns and capitals. In addition to the temple, there is also an ancient fortress here, which served a defensive function and was also the summer residence of the Armenian kings.
On the same day we will visit the Geghard Monastery, the buildings of which are partially carved into the rock, representing an impressive evidence of the unity of human genius and nature. We will see the Symphony of Stones - a hard-to-reach natural wonder, basalt pillars reminiscent of organ pipes. Then we will go to the Charents Arch. This is an architectural monument erected in 1957, from which a beautiful view of Ararat opens. A place for inspiring shots and quiet contemplation!
