Why go?
Walk along the ancient streets of Baku, visit 9 climatic zones, feel the light breeze on the shores of the Caspian Sea and taste local wines!
Landscape and eras
The relatively small country contains incredible diversity. From mountain peaks under snow caps to the sea (almost!) coast and desert dunes, from skyscrapers to Soviet architecture and settlements lost in time... A mixture of eras and natural contrasts are surprisingly harmoniously intertwined in Azerbaijan.
Country of Fire
Natural gas in some places in Azerbaijan is very close to the surface of the earth. Breaking to the surface, it can spontaneously ignite: because of this wonderful natural phenomenon, fire was worshiped here in ancient times. To this day, fiery symbolism permeates the country - just look at the Flame Towers skyscrapers in Baku!
Individual program
It is almost impossible to see all the sights of the country in one trip, but thanks to a personally compiled tour program, we will be able to include excursions and activities that will appeal to you. Add to this the organization of a turnkey tour and 24/7 support - the recipe for an ideal trip to Azerbaijan is ready!

Arrival in Baku
We will begin exploring the capital of Azerbaijan on the first day of your trip. The old city of Icheri Sheher (“Inner City”) is surrounded by dilapidated fortification walls from the 12th century. This is the historical center of Baku, a masterpiece of oriental architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The inner city is not just a multitude of historical and architectural monuments, but also a vibrant area of Baku: here, in ancient houses, ordinary people live, you can sit in an authentic restaurant, visit an art gallery or go to a souvenir shop.
Perhaps the most famous landmark of the Old Town is the monumental Maiden Tower, full of legends and secrets. In close proximity to it is the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, built in the 15th century. This is a large-scale historical and architectural complex where you can see the palace and the palace gates decorated with carvings, as well as a mosque and mausoleum. And looking into the hammam and divankhana (meeting place), you can imagine how the ancient rulers and their entourage lived. There are many other interesting attractions in Icheri Sheher to suit every taste: the Museum of Miniature Books, the puppet theater, caravanserais and even the places where some scenes of the well-known “The Diamond Arm” were filmed!
Meals: dinner at the restaurant (oriental cuisine).

Gobustan
The Gobustan Historical and Artistic Reserve, located 50 km from Baku, is a unique open-air museum where you can touch the fascinating history of Azerbaijan. 6,000 ancient petroglyphs were discovered on its territory, which tell about the life and customs of the people who lived in this area 5,000 - 20,000 years ago. The drawings are varied and depict animals, trade caravans, religious rituals, hunting scenes and mysterious symbols
In addition to petroglyphs, on the territory of the reserve there are the remains of ancient settlements and burials dating from the late Paleolithic to the Middle Ages, a giant stone tambourine, from which music can still be extracted today, and an inscription carved on the stone of an ancient Roman legionnaire left in the 1st century AD . There are also natural wonders here: the excursion most often begins with unusual mud volcanoes located in truly Martian landscapes.

Ancient sanctuary of fire worshipers
The surrounding areas of Baku are rich in oil and gas. These are not only valuable natural resources, but also a source of incredible natural phenomena. The deposits adjacent close to the surface of the earth erupt with tongues of fire - this wonderful spectacle attracted fire-worshipping pilgrims from all over the world to the territory of Azerbaijan. The Ateshgah Temple was built in the 17th-18th centuries; today it is a picturesque and fascinating open-air museum.
Speaking about the special attitude towards fire in Azerbaijan, one cannot fail to mention the famous “burning mountain” Yanardag, which we will also definitely visit during the excursion. The slope of the mountain located near the village of Mammadli has been burning day and night for many centuries. And although today it is clear to anyone that this is just a natural phenomenon, the spectacle of the eternal flame is impressive and surprising. Here you can also visit the museum complex, which displays interesting exhibits of ancient ceramics, and ride around the surrounding area on an ATV.

Architecture of the oil boom period
Baku is a unique mixture of styles and eras. One of the interesting periods in the history of the city was the oil boom of the late 19th century, when the rapid development of industry caused the growth of the city and the construction of unusual mansions of the newly minted oil magnates. The mansions, designed by European masters in dozens of different styles - from Gothic to Art Nouveau - contrast amazingly with the fortress walls of the historical center and at the same time look organic. Thanks to these interesting buildings, Baku acquired a unique European charm, which once again reminds us that Azerbaijan itself is located at the junction of Asia and Europe.
Unfairly forgotten in Soviet times, today the architecture of the oil boom period has become a subject of interest to researchers. We will go on a fascinating excursion, during which we will not only admire a whole kaleidoscope of architectural styles, but also learn the history of the buildings and those who lived in them.

Gastronomic Azerbaijan. Sheki.
Azerbaijan is a paradise for gourmets! We will go on a great gastronomic journey to appreciate the national cuisine of this country. At lunch in the city of Sheki you can try the local dish “Piti”. It is made in small clay pots (from which the dish gets its name) from lamb or beef, with the obligatory addition of chickpeas. The amount of broth may vary depending on the simmering time, so Piti can be served as a soup or as a second course.
After a hearty meal, we will explore local attractions: the Yukhary Caravanserai complex, the mountainous part of the city with a beautiful panorama, fortress walls and towers, a mosque, the Khan's palace, a Christian temple of an unusual round shape, a local history museum. For dinner at the Chelebi Khan restaurant you will be served traditional Azerbaijani pilaf with meat and herbs. This recipe, called Syabzi Plov, is one of the most popular variations of the famous dish.

Naftalan and mountain lakes
We will go to Naftalan - a famous balneological resort, the only place in the world where there is a deposit of special naftalan oil. This oil has incredible healing qualities: it can be used to treat more than 70 diseases, primarily problems with the musculoskeletal system, but also gynecological, urological, skin (including psoriasis), and many others. The program includes a visit to the resort’s treatment center, where you can optionally try out the famous effect of oil baths, after consulting with a doctor.
After this, we will go to the city of Goygol, in the vicinity of which there is a mountain lake of the same name (1500 m above sea level). In addition to it, we will visit Lake Maralgol (1902 m). These are perhaps the most beautiful lakes in the country, stunning with their clear waters that reflect the forests and hills. In addition, there is a wonderful and touching legend about their origin, which your guide will introduce you to. After the walk we will return to Naftalan and spend the night at the hotel.

"Azerbaijani Vinland" Gabala
The climate, topography and soils of Azerbaijan are excellent for winemaking. The results of archaeological and microbotanical research indicate that wine was produced in the country 6 thousand years ago. We will visit several wineries to get to know the local varieties. The first stop is the Chateau Monolith company in the city of Ismailly. Here we will taste “Ismailli Wine” of the Alyshan series and dry pink “Chateau Monolith”, which is produced from grape varieties grown in a unique area where grey-brown alloyed soils predominate. The tasting will be combined with a delicious lunch.
Then we will go to the city of Gabala, visiting several attractions along the way: ancient mausoleums, the Yeddi Gozyal waterfall (“Seven Beauties”) and the mountain lake Nour with a beautiful panoramic view. Then we will visit the Aspi winery. It is located in an incredibly picturesque place - in the Savalan plain, on the banks of the Turian Chai River. The mountain, which shields the vineyards from the winds, has become a symbol of the plant and adorns the labels of local wines. Of course, we will have a tasting, and then a dinner of national dishes, the central dish of which will be barbecue in the oven (“Dash Arasy”).
