Country of mountains
Of course, Dagestan is a country of mountains (this is how this word is translated from Turkic). But here you will see not only snow-capped peaks and mysterious high mountain plateaus. Dagestan has a sea with stunning beaches, raging rivers and waterfalls, desert landscapes and even a tropical forest. Dagestan is also an ancient culture and rich history.
Maximum comfort
A common myth that stops many from traveling to Dagestan is the lack of comfortable infrastructure. This is not at all true: in Dagestan there are VIP hotels and chic restaurants, here you will find real Caucasian hospitality and a sea of pleasant impressions. We will travel between locations in prepared SUVs, helicopters and minibuses.
Unique program
We have developed a program in which everything is provided down to the smallest detail, and we are ready to change it in accordance with your preferences and wishes. We will add new locations, develop a personal menu and lay out unusual routes - and during the trip we will accompany you 24/7 so that you don’t have to worry about anything.

A sea of impressions
Sulak Canyon by boat
The second deepest canyon in the world is deeper than the famous Grand Canyon, so in Dagestan you can see a more breathtaking and large-scale creation of nature than one of the main attractions of the world.
The depth of the Sulak Canyon reaches 1920 m. At the bottom of the impressive gorge runs the piercing turquoise Sulak River. A light breeze, the aroma of steppe herbs and a dizzying height - this memory will become one of the most valuable even for the most experienced travelers. It's not just amazing views - the canyon has a rich history. Many Russian writers visited here, for example, Mikhail Lermontov, and Alexandre Dumas described this incredible spectacle in his book “Journey to the Caucasus.”
You can enjoy the view of the canyon from the observation deck. The Chirkey Reservoir, located on the way to this attraction, is great for a boat trip.
Meals: lunch at the largest trout farm in Dagestan.
Transport: prepared jeep and boat to the reservoir.

Gamsutl and Gunib
Dagestan is not only about natural beauty and bright, dynamic Makhachkala.
Much of the region’s charm lies in its colorful villages. We will visit the village of Gunib on the plateau of the same name. Here the sun shines 300 days a year, a tropical microclimate reigns and unique relic birch trees with pink bark grow. In addition, this village played an important role during the conquest of the Caucasus in the 19th century - your guide will tell you about this. Also on this day we will visit the Avar ghost village of Gamstul.
The sight of dilapidated original buildings literally amazes you with goosebumps. Traces of the recently active life of the village surrounded by silent mountain slopes are an incredible impression. In addition, we will visit the amazingly beautiful village of Chokh, located in a mountain valley. Chokh is a stormy mountain river, lush gardens, houses scattered along the slopes and a rich history: scientists suggest that the first settlements in the vicinity of Chokh date back to 6 thousand years BC.
Meals: national mountain lunch.
Transport: prepared Land Cruiser SUV.

Derbent Golden Beach Hotel
Modern hotel on the seashore.
It has everything you need for a comfortable stay: a thoughtfully designed interior, helpful staff, a restaurant with hearty dishes, two swimming pools (one indoors, one outdoors). Golden Beach has an extremely good location - you can walk to the city center in just 25 minutes, and many of Derbent's attractions are just a few steps away. At the same time, there is no obsessive bustle around the hotel, which allows guests to feel calm and tranquility.
Kahib and Goor
The villages of Goor and Kakhib have earned many poetic names: “Land of Towers”, “Dagestan Atlantis”, “ghosts”.
They are shrouded in myths and secrets, but will appeal not only to lovers of mysticism: connoisseurs of history, architecture, culture and nature will also be impressed by a trip here. Kakhib is one of the most ancient Dagestan settlements.
Now it is divided into New Kakhib, where about 2,000 people live, and Old Kakhib, picturesque ruins on the slopes above the Kakhibtlyar River. Here, old houses and famous watchtowers seem to grow out of the stones, appearing as part of the landscape. They were built in the VIII-X centuries. Goor is another unusual village with defensive towers. Like three guards, they rise above the steep cliffs. Everyone who visits Goor cannot help but feel the special energy of this place.

Khunzakh and Tobot Falls
The village of Khunzakh is the ancient capital of the Avar Khanate, which existed on the territory of Dagestan in the 12th-19th centuries.
At the same time, archaeological excavations show that Khunzakh itself is more than two and a half thousand years old. Located on a picturesque plateau, at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level, this village can be compared to the Phoenix bird, living and being reborn for many centuries. Some researchers believe that the name “Khunzakh” comes from the Avar phrase “Khun bakh” - that is, “died, but was born again.” Not far from the village there is one of the main natural attractions of the region - the Tobot waterfall. Here the streams fall down from a hundred-meter height, scattering with rainbow splashes and drowning out the voices of people. This place is sometimes called the “heart of Dagestan” - stormy, rebellious and incredibly beautiful. The waterfall has two viewing platforms.

Derbent
Derbent is the oldest and southernmost city in our country.
Officially, it is a little over two thousand years old, but if you take into account when the first settlements appeared on this land, it is about 5 thousand years old. This is a legendary city, like a skillfully made jewelry box. It is unrealistic to explore it in a day or even a week, because every century of Derbent’s life left its own monuments, legends and stories. We will visit the most iconic and interesting local attractions: the Naryn-Kala citadel, built to ensure the passage of trade caravans along the Silk Road, the atmospheric mahals (districts) of the Old City, the central square, the embankment and the most expensive street in Dagestan. We will plunge headlong into the history and special charm of Derbent, feel the atmosphere of a bright and noisy eastern city, which has an invaluable centuries-old heritage.
Meals: lunch in an ethnic house from national dishes.

Glamping "Laguna-Golhin"
“Laguna-Golhin” is located in a protected area - in the village of Gunib, which is located in a natural park with a special climate, diverse flora and fauna, clean air and bright sun.
Thanks to the special, almost alpine climate, these places are considered to be a real sanatorium region, a visit to which has a beneficial effect on health and gives a boost of vigor. All accommodation options at Laguna-Golhin allow you to feel at one with nature. There are rooms with panoramic views of the Golhin Lagoon and the mountains, as well as dome modules with a dizzying 180-degree panorama, where you can meet gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, contemplate myriads of stars above your head and enjoy the silence.
Helicopter trip to Derbent
On this day we will go on a helicopter ride to ancient Derbent, seeing many sights along the way.
Let's fly over the village of Salta and look at the unique underground Salta waterfall. We will stop for half an hour in the deserted village of Gamsutl on the top of Mount Amalje. We will see the Vatan memorial complex, the center of pottery art - the Lak village of Balkhar, the “village of goldsmiths” Kubachi, the legendary capital of the ancient kingdom with the picturesque ruins of religious buildings - Kala Koreysh. We will have an hour and a half for a fascinating walk around Derbent. We will also see the famous Caspian Monster - the Lun ekranoplane, a unique ship with wings, which was abandoned after the collapse of the USSR
