Kamchatka: A Land of Volcanoes and a Heliskiing Mecca

The Kamchatka Krai is one of the most unique and beautiful regions of Russia, a magnet for all travelers. It boasts over five hundred active volcanoes, their pristine slopes awaiting brave explorers and speed enthusiasts! A helicopter tour offers not only stunning views but also maximum freedom of choice. We'll select the volcanoes with the best snow, and every day you'll be making the first line on the slope. In inclement weather, we'll keep you busy with equally amazing activities: snowmobile transfers to freeride spots, ocean surfing/kayaking (yes, in winter!), dog sled rides, jeep volcano climbs, ski touring, and backcountry skiing.

Heli-skiing season in Kamchatka: early February through May.
Transportation: Toyota and Mercedes minibuses, specially equipped SUVs, Mi-8 helicopters, Airbus Helicopters EC130 T2, and Gazelle.

Northern group of volcanoes

Kozelsky Volcano:
An extinct and partially eroded volcano, 2,190 meters high, adjacent to Avachinsky. Dozens of lines from southeast to west offer a stunning variety of slopes and terrain to suit every taste! The descent offers stunning ocean views. Snow remains year-round, so Kozelsky is popular even during the warmer months.
Avachinsky Volcano
: An active volcano; its last major eruption occurred in 1991. At 2,741 meters, climbing to the summit in winter requires serious mountaineering skills, so the only chance to descend on a snowboard or skis is by helicopter.
Koryaksky Volcano:
One of the highest volcanoes in Kamchatka, with an absolute elevation of 3,456 meters. A slope of 20-30°, a variety of lines, and significant elevation changes make skiing on Koryaksky Volcano a truly extreme experience. This volcano is active, having last been active in 2009.

Heli-skiing day

Heli-skiing is a unique opportunity to feel like a pioneer and quench your adrenaline rush. After such descents, the slopes of any ski resort in the world will seem dull. Just speed, pristine snow, and endless freedom!

How a heli-skiing day is planned during a tour:
The choice of ski area depends on the weather and snow conditions. For your safety, a professional guide and pilot will determine the location.
A single flight typically includes 5 to 9 descents. The exact number depends on the conditions: in ideal flying conditions, we can reach higher altitudes and make longer descents, which means fewer descents, ranging from 2 to 6 km in length.

Please note that heli-skiing requires a fairly high level of skiing experience – confidence on and off-piste, and experience skiing on both soft and hard snow.

Meals: Lunch with wild salmon and red caviar on the ocean shore.
Transportation: Mi-8 helicopters, Airbus EC130 T2, Gazelle.

Thermal springs

Kamchatka is famous not only for its volcanoes, geysers, and ocean. It's also a land of thermal springs, accessible for swimming year-round! Relaxing in one of these springs is a wonderful way to end an active day and will fill you with energy for your next adventure. Relax in the steaming hot water while gazing at the endless starry sky and snow-capped peaks in the distance.

This amazing spa, created by nature itself, is also beneficial for your health. Many springs, thanks to the special composition of their water, strengthen the immune system, accelerate the healing of minor wounds, improve metabolism, and are effective for rehabilitation after injuries and the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.

Jeep tour to the volcanoes

We invite you on an exclusive trip to Mutnovsky Volcano! This active volcano, 2,323 meters high, occasionally produces red-hot lava flows on its slopes. Even when Mutnovsky is dormant, there's plenty to see: extensive fumarole fields—columns of hot gas escaping from cracks in the rock—give this place a special charm. Along the way to the volcano, you'll enjoy other picturesque views in our prepared jeeps.

Another option for spending the day is to take a jeep ride to Avacha Pass, where you can hike up to Camel Hill. Here, we'll have a picnic with a breathtaking view of the giant "domestic" volcanoes. Ground squirrels are often seen on the pass, fearlessly feeding from the hands of tourists.

Meals: Picnic near the volcano.
Transportation: Prepared mountain jeeps.

Southern group of volcanoes

Vilyuchinsky Volcano.
This extinct volcano seems tailor-made for heli-skiing. Judge for yourself: its perfect cone shape allows for descents from virtually any slope; the climate in this part of Kamchatka delays the season's closing until June; and from the summit of Vilyuchinsky, a breathtaking panorama opens up: the ocean, Avacha and Vilyuchinsky bays, volcanoes, and mountains stretching as far as the eye can see. Its absolute altitude is 2,173 meters. It's possible to descend directly to the ocean in the nearby fjords, with a vertical drop of up to 700 meters.
Mutnovsky Volcano
. This active volcano consists of several cones united into a massif. Its 2,322-meter elevation and impressive slopes of 20-30° aren't the only reasons Mutnovsky is so attractive for heli-skiing. Only here can you descend into the crater via a huge side fissure or from the upper rim to the fantastic fumarole fields!

Khalaktyrsky Beach

This legendary beach delights even the most seasoned travelers. Here, one truly senses the grandeur of nature and marvels at the diversity of its landscapes.
At the slopes, completely covered in lava flows, begins a strip of sand of a stunning color—it's pitch black due to its volcanic origin. The waves of the boundless Pacific Ocean lap the shore with a steady roar, creating a special music that seems to immerse you in meditation.
In the afternoon, we'll ascend to the observation deck (Petrovskaya Hill), which offers a magnificent view of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Avacha Bay.

Meals: picnic on the beach.

Transport: Toyota and Mercedes minibuses, prepared SUVs.

Kamchatka Sailing

This unique journey is available only here in Kamchatka. Depending on your plans, the tour can last one day or a whole week.
We'll set off on a sailing catamaran along the majestic Avacha Bay, heading toward the cozy fjord of Russkaya Bay. If you choose the extended, week-long version of this adventure, we'll stay here for the next six days. Accommodations are provided onboard, in comfortable conditions. We'll make daring ascents and dizzying descents, sunbathe in the gentle Kamchatka sun, and definitely stop to see a bustling sea lion rookery.

A special offer for those who love peace, quiet, and nature. For those seeking solitude and contrasts: calm, leisurely climbs and dizzyingly adventurous descents.

There are several options for organizing this trip:

Ski touring with helicopter transfer. From the window, we'll see the endless mountain ranges of Kamchatka and land on one of them. We'll descend and complete several more ski touring ascents.
