The charm of European antiquity

The Kaliningrad Region is a truly unique region with a rich heritage and an inimitable combination of comfort and grandeur. Narrow cobbled streets, picturesque embankments, churches and castles, ancient boarding houses, and shady alleys… It's as if time has stood still here, and everything is frozen in amber—one of Kaliningrad's main symbols.

Baltic landscapes

The Baltic Sea coastline boasts crystal-clear water, dunes, and pine trees, as well as miles of beautiful sandy beaches, including those awarded the Blue Flag. The region is home to picturesque resort towns such as Svetlogorsk and, of course, the legendary Curonian Spit, a World Heritage Site.

Kaliningrad: European comfort and the rugged charm of the Baltic

The Kaliningrad Region attracts travelers who are passionate about history and ancient architecture, appreciate leisurely strolls, dream of vacations in classic 19th-20th-century resort towns, and are in love with the northern nature. The region's heritage is truly unique. Every settlement here has two names—pre-war and modern: Kaliningrad is Königsberg, Yantarny is Palmnicken, Zelenogradsk is Kranz... These settlements are diverse and harmonious. Romantic promenades, winding terrain paths, Templar castles, green squares, and ancient villas await you. And, of course, you can relax on Blue Flag-certified beaches with soft sand, climb the dunes of the famous Curonian Spit, and wander among the whimsical "dancing" trees.

This region is perfect for a relaxing holiday in a tranquil atmosphere, but you'll also experience some truly exciting moments! In addition to experiencing the cozy resort traditions, we offer exclusive experiences: take a spa cruise, ascend in a hot air balloon, learn about European cheese-making traditions, explore the Baltic coast from a luxury yacht, or relax in a sauna with panoramic sea views.

Season: All year round. The swimming season is from June to August.

Tour program of your choice

A walking tour and interactive introduction to Königsberg

Kaliningrad welcomes guests with the leisurely atmosphere of an old European city, with narrow streets, cobbled sidewalks, and centuries-old buildings. After a comfortable transfer and check-in at your hotel, you'll have time to relax. In the afternoon, your exploration of the city begins: accompanied by a personal guide, you'll stroll through sites that preserve the memory of Königsberg. On Kant Island, surrounded by shady alleys, rises the majestic Cathedral, near whose walls the philosopher Immanuel Kant is buried. You'll also visit the Fishing Village—a neighborhood styled after old Prussia, with embankments and towers offering impressive views of the Pregolya River and ancient bridges.

Our route then takes us through the city's historic gates, fortification bastions, and squares. The Church of the Holy Family and the Church of Queen Louise have been reimagined as exhibition halls and concert venues, while the historic Kronprinz Barracks and Grolman Bastions retain the ambiance of medieval fortifications. In the evening, we'll stroll through the interactive Friedland Gate Museum, where multimedia technology brings the streets of pre-war Königsberg to life, offering a glimpse into the past. Panoramic views, the subdued glow of ancient lanterns, and the reflections of Gothic facades in the waters of the Upper Pond create a unique atmosphere—unhurried, romantic, and filled with a love of history.

Little Europe

The beaches and "frozen gold" of the village of Yantarny

Yantarny is a cozy village, formerly known as Palmnicken, where narrow streets lead to the waterfront, and the facades of ancient buildings conceal a multilayered past. We suggest exploring Yantarny with a guide, who will tailor a route to your personal preferences—from immersing yourself in history to relaxing, leisurely strolls. In the interactive exhibition hall "Amber Chamber," you can see unique samples of the sunny stone, learn about its origins, and learn about ancient processing techniques. The village's historic center is located near a 19th-century Lutheran church, where you can feel the spirit of old Prussia.

The walk to the sea leads through Becker Park, where centuries-old trees spread out and winding paths lead to sandy beaches. The Schlosshotel, reminiscent of a palace complex, complements the landscape with its elegant architecture. The route concludes on the coast – one of the few beaches in Russia to have been awarded the international Blue Flag. The snow-white sand, wide horizon, and turquoise waves of the Baltic create a sense of space and tranquility. Here, time seems to stand still, allowing you to enjoy the serenity and fresh sea breeze.

A leisurely introduction to the resort town of Svetlogorsk

You can visit Svetlogorsk after visiting Yantarny. Another option is to dedicate a whole day or several to this resort town. The choice is yours! Svetlogorsk greets you with green streets and elegant early 20th-century architecture. Formerly a resort town, Rauschen has retained the atmosphere of a secluded seaside getaway. Tucked away among the pines and larches are elegant villas, historic boarding houses, and the majestic Kurhaus, once the center of social life. Your guided tour of the town will take you past iconic landmarks: the water tower with its sundial, the organ hall, and the famous sculptures by Hermann Brachert. Brachert's "Water Carrier" against the backdrop of the Baltic seems to unite the elements, and his "Nymph" at the surf's edge seems like a living legend.

The descent to the sea follows winding terrain paths, offering panoramic views of the coastline. A wide promenade is ideal for strolling along the water—it's pleasant to breathe in the salty air and listen to the sound of the surf. If your trip coincides with the summer, you can linger on the beach if you wish: the swimming season in Svetlogorsk runs from June to August. In the city center, the Yantar Hall, a modern venue that hosts performances, festivals, and KVN games, is a highlight. Here, Svetlogorsk reveals a new side—dynamic, creative, yet still cozy and intimate.

Zelenogradsk and the legendary Curonian Spit

Zelenogradsk, once known as Kranz, is a beautiful resort town that has preserved traces of centuries-old history and European charm. A guided stroll along its tourist boulevard will immerse you in the atmosphere of a "little Europe," with the elegant old architecture of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. You'll see boarding houses, hotels, and luxurious private villas, as well as visit the austere and legendary Church of St. Adalbert and the cozy Queen Louise Square. And, of course, you'll admire the stunning views of the Baltic Sea while strolling along the promenade. In Zelenogradsk, also known as the "Cat City," you'll experience the indescribable harmony of the old world.

And, of course, Zelenogradsk is home to a unique natural landmark—the famous and much-praised Curonian Spit, a World Heritage Site. This narrow sandy strip, separating the salty Baltic Sea from the freshwater Curonian Lagoon, is a true natural gem. Here you'll discover the mysterious Dancing Forest, where trees are twisted into bizarre shapes by the wind and time. The observation deck at the top of Efa Dune offers panoramic views of the sands, forests, and sea, creating the unique atmosphere of this magnificent and somewhat mystical place. Our team will tailor your exploration of Zelenogradsk and the sandy spit to your preferences: we can combine both in a single excursion or extend your stay.

The ruins of Schaaken Castle and the cheese factory

You can't visit the Kaliningrad region without visiting an ancient castle! We invite you to visit the ruins of Schaaken Castle, located in the village of Nekrasovo. This unusual structure is remarkable for its octagonal shape, which is unusual for buildings of that era and is not found in other Teutonic Order castles. A walk through the castle ruins will transport you to the atmosphere of the Middle Ages, when the fortress walls guarded the secrets of knightly deeds and political decisions. The Inquisition Museum, located in the castle cellars, will immerse you in the darkness of history and enhance the atmosphere of those times. Here, among the stone walls, the breath of the past is especially palpable. You will also have the unique opportunity to try on knightly armor and feel like a part of the Middle Ages, taking souvenir photos.

After the castle tour, we'll visit the family-run artisan cheese factory, Schaakendorf, housed in former stables. Here, cheeses, chocolate, candies, and other delicious delicacies are crafted using traditional European recipes. You'll be able to learn about the production process and discover secrets passed down from generation to generation. You'll enjoy a tasting of unique products: from cheeses infused with various spices to delicate marzipan and chocolate, as well as aromatic marshmallows. The wine served with the tasting perfectly complements the flavors, turning this day into a true culinary journey.

Yachting in the Baltic

The Baltic coast, with its endless expanses and ever-changing character, is especially beautiful from the water. Sailing here is more than just a stroll; it's an opportunity to experience popular destinations from a new perspective, away from other travelers, and experience the true spirit of maritime freedom. We offer a sailing yacht excursion: a leisurely cruise along the coast, fresh sea air, the gentle rolling of the waves, and full onboard service. The route can take you along the picturesque dunes of the Curonian Spit, across the Kaliningrad Gulf, or out to sea. The format is entirely up to you: you can spend a couple of hours in silence, admiring the sea horizon, or plan a romantic evening with a glass of wine at sunset.

For those who want to not just observe but also participate in yacht management, a masterclass format is ideal: an experienced skipper will explain the basics of navigation, demonstrate how the sails work, and give you the opportunity to set a course independently. If you already have proven experience, there's nothing stopping you from taking the helm and experiencing the true spirit of captaining. In any case, yachting is just one of the many vacation options we can organize for you. We'll tailor the route and format to your preferences to ensure you get the most out of your trip.
